The Scales of Poi is geared towards intermediate to advanced Poi artists who want to take their practise to the next level, but is beneficial to beginners as well. It is a guided tour through a comprehensive system of exercises and explorations that have a very specific goal: complete freedom of movement and expression.
It shows theory aspects about planes, beat timing, direction and other ways to move your hands rather than focusing on individual moves. This means you will understand the building blocks of moves and be able to advance faster.

Reviewer: Andrew Clarke from JapanA great video, that goes way past the basic video tutorials for various moves on the interent. He takes a different (and advisable) approach to poi. He show how you can gain total control and total freedom to move with poi (and how to keep in time to music)! He is a true inspiration, and seems a very nice and modest guy as well! This will not teach you how to 3 beat or even 5/7 beat, but will teach you excellant drills to practice that will lead to you doing a variety of flowers etc and lead to you inventing new moves! I wouldn't recommend this for people who have just picked up poi though, but I would highly recommend this to people that have some experience, and definitely want to take their spinning to the next level.
