COL 2010, who's entering?

So, who's planning on entering COL this year?

I'm going to film at the IJC again, and random spots all over Israel, going for something really good this year

I'm thinking I might as well enter the competition and maybe include some poi skiing, though I'm still not sure how does actually getting to film that work out...

If my skills increase to the point that I feel I'm worthy of being used as inspiration I will. It is entirely possible, but I have a feeling that that won't be the case this year.

Still need a decent video camera, then would be easy enough to do something. *shrug*

I might send in a video, but I don't expect it to make the final cut.

And from what I have seen, you will not fail on the technical side of spinning. WIll be the other stuff.

I filmed my entry, I'm dumping it to my computer as we speak

i'm searching for a decent camera, my camera sucks! I hope to be able to join this time!

I doubt Ill make it but I'll enter!! I'm going for a "Sage Behind The Flame" feel for mine with some Prodigy and Bassnectar in the backround

i will definitely try to put something together. but if all falls through i will be in COl 2011 for sure, already have the plan for what i want to do.

should have more categories... for example:

best script
best camera
best editing

when is it due by? and how do i get in on the next collab?

Anyone have any tips about getting the OK from the artist to use the music. I'm using "Verbing the noun" by Bassnectar and "Omen" by prodigy. I sent them both emails and have yet to hear back

Flint, good luck with that. From my experience big name artists won't answer their emails. Try emailing their agent.
Or look for local bands you like and contact them directly.

Damn, Bassnectar had a link to talk to the record label about such things so that should be fairly handle-able but Prodigy was super non-contact oriented.

BUT!! I filmed my vid tonight!! It looks awesome

Find out who sells it (BMG, Sony, etc) and mail THEM... or better: get their phone number and call the company first, as to find out whom to mail specifically.... don't mail random... imho mailing Prodigy directly IS "random"

I think it's a bit late for COL 2010, but there's 2011
For music you need the artist to sign the music release form, I think that to use the music from jamendo you'd have to actually contact the artist and ask him to send you the form.

Where are you from in Israel?
